Ios 6 beta not updating
Although there wasn’t a major difference — nowhere near the difference shown in this video — mine was slightly quicker.
Blogdoi Phone speculates that this could be a sign Apple has finally introduced support for “delta” updates in i OS 6.
But, if you have an old i Phone or i Pad you don’t use much and you’re ready for some bugs and crashes, then by all means proceed. This will allow you to downgrade back to your current i OS 10 state without losing any of your data. Even with a fast connection, pulling down a full i Cloud backup can take a very long time for a phone with a lot of apps and storage.
You’ll get to try out all the features (and provide feedback on them) before the general public. Further, you never have to worry about running out of space or your backup being overwritten when you have the extra space of a hard drive (compared to the very limited amount of space allocated to the free i Cloud account).
Rather than updating the entire package, as they do now, they’d have to update just the changes — or the delta update.
Indeed, it became available to the public on 26 June 2017.
Seriously, we mean it: Don’t install this on your primary device.
If you have an i Phone you use for everything, don’t install it on that i Phone! First and foremost, you need a compatible i Phone, i Pad, or i Pod Touch. Every i Phone from the i Phone 5s going forward is compatible with i OS 11, including the following devices: In addition to a supported device, we also strongly suggest you have a Windows PC or Mac running the most current version of i Tunes in order to do a complete backup of your device in its i OS 10 state.
Apple took to the stage at WWDC 2017 and announced a flurry of updates both software and hardware related.
Not only did we get our first glimpse at i OS 11, mac OS High Sierra, watch OS 4 and tv OS 11, but we were treated to new hardware like a refreshed Mac lineup, a new i Mac Pro and a Siri-powered speaker dubbed Home Pod.

As shown in the video below — spotted by Brazilian site Blogdoi Phone — an update to Apple’s Podcasts app on the i Phone takes significantly less time to download and install than it does on i OS 5.1.1.
